July, 2009
- Saturday, 4th - 4th of July Parade, Arlington Heights, 9:30-12:00.
- Saturday, 11th - Sunset shoot of the Chicago Skyline from the Adler Planetarium. Contact Kent Wilson.
- Sunday, 12th - Civil War Days Enactment, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Lake County Discovery Museum, Wauconda.
- Friday, 17th - Irish Fest, 6:00 p.m.-10:00, and Saturday, 3:00-10:00.
- Sunday, 19th - Garden Walk, 8:00 a.m.-12:00. Contact Cindy Kuffel or Bill Kruser.
- Saturday, 25th - Stillman Nature Center Raptor Shoot in South Barrington on Saturday the 25th. Contact Kent Wilson.
August, 2009
- ACC Photo Display at Arlington Heights Library.
- Sunday, 16th - All American Dog Grooming Show, Photograph a different artform displayed by these groomed dogs. Weston North Shore, 601 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling. Contact Diana Jacobson for further information.
- Wednesday, 19th - Historical Society Photo Shoot, Get ready for a hands-on workshop shooting on the grounds of the historical society! Don't forget to bring flashlights, bug spray, wind shields, and anything else you may need to shoot outdoors.
- Sat. 29 - Sun 30 - Nachusa Grasslands, Arrive 3 p.m. Saturday, shoot until 7:30 p.m., and next morning sunrise. Contact Kent Wilson.
September, 2009
- Saturday, 12th - A Day at the Races, Arlington Park - Park opens at 11:15, Tickets are $6 online or $7 at the gate.
- Sep. 20-26 - ACC members shoot at Photographic Society of America (PSA) International Conference of Photography in West Yellowstone, Montana. Contact Diana Jacobson.
October, 2009
- ACC Photo Display at Schaumburg Library - Framed or unframed images. ACC Members need to email titles and their names to Carol Arnolde or Michelle Thrane prior to Oct. 2, so that signs can be made. More details here (PDF)
- Saturday, 10th - CACCA Field Trip - View photographs submitted to the CACCA competition from clubs around the Chicagoland area.
November, 2009
- Wednesday, 18 - Still Life Workshop, Bring your camera for a still life shoot. We will have props, lights, etc.

January, 2010
- Lutheran Home Display - Framed images, preferably 8 x 10 and 11 x 14. More details here (PDF)
- 22nd through 24th - Winter trip to the Mississippi River to photograph eagles. We will start our photography trip at Lock and Dam #14, which is located in the Quad Cities area. There are 3 motels nearby in Le Claire, Iowa. (At this location, we'll be photographing from the Iowa side of the River.) There is a Comfort Inn, a Super 8, and a Holiday Inn Express in LeClaire, the Holiday Inn being the priciest of the three. For info, http://hotel-guides.us/iowa/le-claire-ia-hotels.html. Since we'll be shooting from the Iowa side, early morning light will be in our faces. I'd say that it isn't necessary to get up at dawn to have good light, but never having been there at that time, I can't say for certain. I think you can do pretty well with a 200 mm lens if there is someone there to throw fish to bring the eagles in close to the bank; a 300 mm or longer is better yet. You will definitely get photos of eagles in nearby trees, perhaps eating their catch.
- Saturday, 16th - Annual Holiday Party, husbands, wifes and significant others are welcome to attend. Cash is always accepted, if you are writing a check please make it out to Arlington Camera Club. I would really appreciate everyone interested in attending to have payment to Cathie Berner no later than our next meeting which is January 6, 2010. If you cannot attend the next meeting and still would like to attend please mail your check to Cathie.

Cost: $20.00 per person, Cash Bar - Tuesday, 19th - Bailey Donnally "Enhance Your Images" in the Vail Room of Lake Forest Place, 1100 Pembridge Drive in Lake Forest. A "before" image will be shown, followed by a discussion of what can be done to improve the image, and then an "after" image will be shown.

- Wednesday, 7th - CACCA Postcard Entries due to Donna Thomas. Each person can submit 2 entries, 4 x 6 prints. On the back of each image should be the maker's name, club name, and title of the image.
May, 2010
- Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 - The Art of Seeing sponsored by REI and Calumet Photographic. This event will take place at the Calumet Photo Cherry Ave Store and the Lincoln Park REI store. - Sunday, 23rd - Will Clay at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks, the cost is $50 with a $10 non-refundable deposit (as
earnest money) to hold your place. Will will take up to 12 photographers; if more members are interested, he will enlist Hank Erdmann to co-lead the outing. Give your deposit to Cathie Berner, Cindy or Bill.

- Sunday, 11 - Civil War Days, Lakewood Forest Preserve. We will meet at 8:45 AM (9 AM opening) at the entrance. Adults $8, Seniors $4, here is a coupon for $1 off admission.
- Saturday, 31 - Stillman Nature Center Raptor Shoot for Photographers, meet at gates at 8:15 (or earlier for parking). Opens at 8:30, $10 Admission.
September, 2010
- Saturday, 18 - Chicago Evening Shoot of Buckingham Fountain, Millennium Park, and other subjects. Meet in Greek town for dinnerat 4:30; drive to parking in time for sunset at 6:55 pm. Let Kent Wilson know if you are interested in attending.
October, 2010
- Saturday, 16 - Lou Nettlehorst Outing to capture frost on vegetation. There is an $80 fee for this outing, which also includes a critiquing session of the images you take. Registration is due by September 1st.
- Thursday, 28 - Sixth Annual UMCGC Alumni Art Show - Jim Beck will have an oil painting on display. The reception will take place from 6 PM - 9 PM at the Zolla/Lieberman Gallery, 325 W. Huron, Chicago, IL 60654 (312-944-1990) in River North. The cost is $10 per guest (proceeds support the UM Club of Greater Chicago Scholarship Fund).
